Zambia National Public Health Institute says the country has recorded at least 1,110 cumulative cholera cases since the latest outbreak began in August 2025.
The update followed nine new confirmed cases and brought the death toll to 18, health authorities said.
Nine patients were discharged during the reporting period, raising total recoveries to 1,083, while nine others remain hospitalised.
Authorities said 376,573 people in affected districts have so far been vaccinated against cholera as part of containment efforts.
The outbreak has spread to 20 of Zambia’s 116 districts, including the capital, Lusaka.
Zambia previously experienced its worst cholera outbreak between October 2023 and July 2024, recording more than 23,000 cases and over 700 deaths nationwide.
