British tennis star Jack Draper has enlisted former world number one Andy Murray to join his coaching team for the upcoming grass-court season, including Wimbledon, after ending his partnership with coach Jamie Delgado.
British number two Jack Draper has brought three-time Grand Slam champion Andy Murray into his coaching team for the grass-court season following his split from Jamie Delgado, according to reports monitored by cbinews.tv.
Murray, a former world number one, returns to the tour after ending a six-month coaching stint with Novak Djokovic last year.
The 38-year-old will support Draper throughout the grass-court campaign, including at Wimbledon, which begins on June 29.
Draper expressed appreciation for outgoing coach Jamie Delgado, praising his contribution over the past six months.
“I am very grateful for everything Jamie Delgado has done for me over these past six months. He is a world-class coach and a great man,” Draper said.
The 24-year-old added that he will continue working with the Lawn Tennis Association support team, with Murray joining the setup during the grass-court season.
Draper has battled several injuries during his career and is expected to miss this month’s French Open because of a knee injury.
