Tennis player Sachia Vickery says platform earnings outpace her 14-year career income.
American tennis player Sachia Vickery has revealed she turned to OnlyFans as a financial lifeline after struggling to make ends meet on the professional tennis circuit.
Speaking on TMZ Live, the 29-year-old admitted that her earnings from the subscription platform have already surpassed what she made in her years on court, shining a light on the financial challenges players outside the sport’s elite rankings face.
CBI News reports that Vickery, currently ranked 559th in the world, said she has earned $2.1 million over 14 years of professional tennis.
However, much of that income was consumed by essential expenses such as coaching, physiotherapy, and travel.
“Life outside the Top 100 is bleak,” she said, adding that OnlyFans has finally given her financial stability.
The American explained that she launched her page after a shoulder injury forced her out of competition. She stressed, however, that her content remains within limits.
“It’s clean, just lingerie, nothing that breaks the rulebook,” Vickery clarified.
CBI News recalls that her move has sparked debate within tennis circles, with some questioning whether athletes should resort to such platforms.
Vickery insists it was a necessary decision, pointing to what she described as tennis’s failure to adequately support players outside the top tier.
