Big win for Osun State University as all 29 programmes put forward to Nigeria’s university regulator pass with flying colours!

It’s celebrations all round at Osun State University (UNIOSUN), as the institution has secured full accreditation for all 29 academic programmes submitted to the National Universities Commission (NUC).

According to a statement shared by the university’s Public Relations Officer, Mr Ademola Adesoji, and reported by cbinews.tv, the approval came through after the accreditation exercise held in October/November 2025 — and every single programme passed.

The green light covers a wide range of disciplines including Administration and Management, Allied Health Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Arts and Humanities, Computing, Education, Sciences and Social Sciences.

Mr Adesoji noted that the result further strengthens UNIOSUN’s reputation as one of Nigeria’s fast-rising and academically stable universities, pointing to the institution’s growing standards in teaching, research, facilities, and staff strength.

The official approval was communicated in a letter signed by the NUC Director of Accreditation, Abraham Chundusu, following assessments carried out across different faculties.

Speaking on the achievement, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Odunayo Adebooye, described the 100 per cent success rate as the result of years of strategic planning, consistent quality assurance, and sustained investment in academic excellence.

He also credited the milestone to the hard work of staff, students, alumni, governing council members and other stakeholders, as well as the continued support of the Osun State Government.

In his words, this marks yet another step forward in UNIOSUN’s journey towards global relevance and academic excellence.
