Bola Tinubu postpones Ogun trip to visit Plateau State over recent attacks.
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has postponed his planned trip to Iperu, Ogun State, where he was scheduled to flag off operations at the Gateway International Cargo Airport.
According to a statement issued by Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu's Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, the President will instead travel to Jos, Plateau State, to commiserate with the government and residents over recent gun attacks that claimed several lives.
Following the visit to Plateau, Tinubu will proceed to Lagos to observe Good Friday.
On Saturday, April 4, he is expected to travel to Ogun State for the commissioning of the Gateway International Cargo Airport and the inauguration of two commercial aircraft intended to boost import and export activities in the state.
During the Ogun visit, the President will also inaugurate the new Federal Operations Unit of the Nigerian Customs Service and its operational vehicles.
Tinubu will return to Lagos to continue the Easter holiday, during which he is scheduled to commission several infrastructure projects executed by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
These include the Ojota/Opebi Link Bridge, the Lagos State Geographic Information System Building, a Multi-Agency Complex named after the President, and a school complex.
The President is also expected to visit Bayelsa State on April 10 to commission projects completed by Governor Duoye Diri before returning to Abuja.
