It’s been a while, but FEC is back in session, and President Tinubu kicked things off with fresh appointments.
President Bola Tinubu was back in the driver’s seat today, chairing a Federal Executive Council meeting at the State House in Abuja, the first one we’ve seen in over two months, according to cbinewstv.
Before ministers got down to business, Tinubu swore in two new Federal Commissioners for the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission. Amina Gamawa will be representing Bauchi State, while Abdullahi Mukhtar steps in for Kaduna State. Both took their oath of office right there in the Council Chamber.
And that wasn’t all. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, confirmed the agenda also covers swearing-in newly appointed Federal Commissioners for the National Population Commission.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, cabinet ministers and other top government officials were all present for the long-awaited session.
