The Shiroro local government is one of the areas in Niger State bedevilled by the activities of terrorists.
The Niger State Commissioner for Homeland Security, Maurice Magaji, has confirmed terrorist attacks on 3 communities of Lanta, Tunga and Bagna in Erena ward of Shiroro local government area.
According to Magaji, the state has received credible information and is working with security forces.
Meanwhile, eyewitnesses in the affected communities say that the terrorists launched the attack at about 10:30 am, Tuesday, April 7.
CBI News gathered that the attack, which began in Bagana, left three people dead and several others injured before spreading to neighbouring villages.
The people are calling on the government to come to their rescue especially as farming season is about to begin.
