More than 200 Singaporeans arrived at Changi Airport on Tuesday March 11, 2025, on an Air Force repatriation flight from the Middle East, amid heightened tensions in the region.

They praised the Qatari government and military who they said kept residents and tourists safe.
"And while it is scary, there is still complete trust in the government to look after the people. One thing that the government and the military in Qatar have done is to make sure that all of their citizens are completely safe. And so, they did a fantastic job keeping everyone in the loop and made sure that communication was clear," said a passenger from Doha.
Passengers took a 13-hour bus from Doha to Riyadh before they boarded an Air Force flight of nearly eight hours to Changi. 218 Singaporeans and their dependents were on the flight, according to local media.
