Shooting Stars FC will face Bendel Insurance in Benin City on August 30 as the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) kicks off Matchday Two of the 2025/26 season with a standout fixture.
CBI News reports that the Oluyole Warriors will be aiming to redeem themselves after a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to Bayelsa United on the opening day, where Kehinde Lawal’s 30th-minute header handed new head coach Nurudeen Aweroro a losing start.
Bendel Insurance will also be seeking a response after falling 2-0 to El-Kanemi Warriors in Maiduguri last weekend.
The clash is one of nine games lined up in the reshuffled Matchday Two programme released by the NPFL.
