No one saw this coming! The Egyptian King is swapping Anfield for the Black Sea!
Well, this is the one we thought would NEVER happen.
In a move that has left the football world in complete shock, Mohamed Salah is set to become a Trabzonspor player! Yes, you read that right.
According to cbinews.tv, the Turkish giants have confirmed that an agreement is now in place for the Egyptian striker. Here we go!
Salah will join the club on a two-year deal as a free agent following his emotional departure from Liverpool after nine legendary years.
And it’s all happening very quickly. In an official statement, Trabzonspor said Salah will arrive in Istanbul on Wednesday, with plans already in place for his big welcome.
"The player is planned to reach Trabzon in the evening of the same day," the statement said.
"The time and other details regarding the welcome program in Trabzon will be shared with the public through our club's official communication channels during the day."
It’s a massive coup for the Black Sea Storm. As **cbinews.tv** notes, Trabzonspor are no small club - they’ve won seven league titles, with six of those coming in a dominant spell between 1976 and 1984. They ended a 38-year wait for glory when they lifted the title again in 2022 and remain one of only six teams to have ever won the Turkish Super Lig.
What a signing this would be. Salah joined Liverpool from Roma back in June 2017 and became an absolute icon. Two Premier League titles, a Champions League, Club World Cup, UEFA Super Cup, FA Cup, two EFL Cups and a Community Shield.
Not to mention the personal honours - four Premier League Golden Boots and three PFA Player of the Year awards in 2018, 2022 and 2025. He leaves having scored 257 goals and provided 120 assists in 442 appearances. Anfield royalty.
He’s also fresh from leading Egypt to the last 16 of the 2026 World Cup, where they were narrowly beaten 3-2 by eventual finalists Argentina.
From Merseyside to the north-eastern city of Trabzon... football, eh? You just can't write it.
