Nigeria moves to sustain wealth creation through training programme....
Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, on Monday flagged off a free nationwide training programme aimed at improving financial inclusion and literacy for 10 million Nigerians.
The initiative, being implemented through the Presidential Committee on Economic and Financial Inclusion (PreCEFI), is designed to equip Nigerians—particularly women and youths—with essential financial skills, investment knowledge and digital competencies to support sustainable wealth creation.
Speaking at the launch in his office, Shettima said the programme would help prepare beneficiaries for participation in Nigeria’s fast-growing digital economy.
As part of the initiative, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed with six professional bodies to jointly develop training programmes, certification pathways, digital skills initiatives and mentorship platforms to strengthen the country’s financial and enterprise workforce.
Shettima said Nigeria could fully harness its demographic dividend only by equipping young people and women with the skills and ethical grounding required for economic growth in a rapidly evolving digital environment.
