Football federation vows fight after decision to strip championship.
Senegal plan to parade the Africa Cup of Nations trophy before their friendly against Peru in Paris on Saturday, despite being stripped of the title.
The Lions of Teranga had claimed their second AFCON crown on 18 January after defeating hosts Morocco 1-0 following extra time. The final ended in chaotic scenes after Senegal players walked off the pitch when Morocco were awarded a stoppage time penalty with the match still goalless.
However, the Confederation of African Football later overturned the result and awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory.
Senegal have since appealed the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport, which confirmed it has received the case and will rule as quickly as possible.
Speaking in Paris, Senegalese Football Federation president Abdoulaye Fall condemned the ruling, describing it as an unprecedented injustice and vowing continued resistance.
Ahead of the match at the Stade de France, federation organisers also confirmed plans for a trophy parade, signalling Senegal’s refusal to accept the decision.
Fall insisted the country would not back down, saying the battle now goes beyond football.
