Antoine Semenyo delivered when it mattered most, scoring a stunning flicked finish to hand Manchester City a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Chelsea in the 2026 FA Cup final at Wembley.
Manchester City are FA Cup champions once again after edging Chelsea 1-0 in a tense final at Wembley, cbinews.tv reports.
After a cagey first half saw Erling Haaland’s goal ruled out for offside, City finally found the breakthrough in the second half through Antoine Semenyo. The forward produced a brilliant flicked finish from Haaland’s low cross to seal the win for Pep Guardiola’s side.
Chelsea pushed hard for an equaliser late in the game, but goalkeeper Robert Sanchez kept City ahead with crucial saves, including a stop that forced Matheus Nunes’ effort onto the post before denying Rayan Cherki with a superb fingertip save.
As the final whistle sounded, jubilant City fans broke into chants for John Stones before performing their famous “Poznan” celebration inside Wembley.
The victory marks Manchester City’s third FA Cup triumph under Guardiola after losing in the previous two finals. It also takes Guardiola’s trophy haul with City to an incredible 20 titles.
