The Katsina State Government has announced, with deep sadness, the passing of retired Major General Rabe Abubakar, who died while in the custody of bandits.
According to the government, the late military officer passed away from natural causes linked to complications arising from diabetes and hypertension during his captivity.
The tragic development comes despite what officials described as relentless efforts by the Katsina State Government and security agencies to secure his safe release.
