Remi Tinubu says the engagement comes as part of ongoing efforts to promote youth skills acquisition, digital literacy, and vocational training nationwide.
Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called on wives of state governors to intensify efforts in empowering youths and promoting skills development across the country.
Speaking during a meeting with the governors' wives at the State House in Abuja, Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the critical role these women play in addressing social and economic challenges at the state level through targeted initiatives.
CBI News reports that the First Lady highlighted the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), her flagship program, which focuses on key areas including youth empowerment, economic inclusion, education, health, and agriculture.
She urged the governors' wives to leverage their positions to implement similar programs that equip young Nigerians with vocational and practical skills to foster self-reliance and reduce unemployment.
Mrs. Tinubu stressed that collaborative efforts between federal and state-level advocates are essential to building a more inclusive society, particularly for vulnerable groups such as youths and women.
She encouraged the wives to prioritize grassroots interventions that align with national goals for human capital development and sustainable economic growth.
