Spanish giants Real Madrid have secured a major legal victory in the ongoing dispute over noise pollution caused by concerts at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, including performances by global music stars like Taylor Swift.
According to CBI News TV, Real Madrid on Wednesday confirmed they have won a legal battle against a residents association that accused the club of causing “noise pollution” through concerts hosted at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.
The dispute followed complaints from nearby residents over excessive noise levels during events held at the newly renovated stadium. Earlier in January, a Spanish judge ruled that concerts staged at the Bernabeu — including Taylor Swift’s performance — exceeded permitted noise limits and suggested there were enough indications to potentially classify the disturbances as a criminal offence.
The case targeted Real Madrid Estadio, the company responsible for managing the iconic venue, alongside its administrator Jose Angel Sanchez, a close associate of club president Florentino Perez.
The Santiago Bernabeu reopened in 2023 after undergoing a major redevelopment aimed at transforming the stadium into a world-class entertainment hub.
