From punches in the ring to a priceless victory at home — Portable turns defeat into celebration as he welcomes a newborn son just hours after his boxing loss.

CBI News reports that Nigerian street-hop star Portable has welcomed a baby boy with his wife, Omobewaji Ewatomi, just hours after losing his celebrity boxing match to Carter Efe in Lagos.

The singer shared the emotional news via Instagram on Saturday, shortly after suffering a unanimous decision defeat at the Chaos in the Ring 4 event held at Balmoral Hall.

Despite the loss, Portable made it clear that the arrival of his son meant far more than any championship title.

“My wife has just delivered a baby boy. That is more valuable to me than any belt. A belt can be bought, but a child cannot,” he said.

While expressing disappointment over the fight’s outcome — which he described as unfair — the artiste said the joy of becoming a father again outweighed the setback.

His wife, Omobewaji, also confirmed the birth with a heartfelt “Alhamdulillah” post, hinting that the newborn has been named Jamal Iremide, whom she described as her “little blessing.”

Portable revealed the dramatic timing of the moment, noting that his wife was in labour while he was still inside the ring.

“While my wife was in labour, I was fighting. She gave birth to a boy,” he added.

Although he had hoped to return home with a belt for his children, the singer expressed gratitude for what he called a greater gift — the safe arrival of his newborn.

Known for his controversial lifestyle and outspoken nature, Portable already has several children from previous relationships and has often spoken about expanding his family.
