Osun is getting ready to elect its next governor, and the Nigeria Police Force is taking no chances when it comes to security.
In a post on X on Thursday, the Force released a list of emergency and complaint lines for residents to use before, during and after the governorship election slated for 15 August, 2026.
According to the police, the numbers are for reporting emergencies, security concerns and any other election-related incidents. So if you see something, say something - and quickly.
Here is the breakdown:
Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of the election: 08139235585
Commissioner of Police for the election: 08134277587
Control Room for election emergencies and security concerns: 08108756818
And what if you have an issue with the conduct of police officers themselves? The Force says you should reach out to its Complaint Response Unit on 08057000001, 08057000002 or 08057000003.
In its message to residents, the Force said: “Your voice matters. Report promptly. Stay peaceful. Help us keep Osun safe.”
The appeal is simple: stay calm, stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the right channel as Osun counts down to the big day.
