The Oyo State Police Command has revealed that it has arrested a notorious kidnapper.
The command made this revelation in a statement signed by its Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade.
Ayanlade in the statement noted that the command also recovered some exhibits from the suspect.
He said a joint team of policemen led by the Divisional Police Officer, Ikoyi-Ile Division, arrested the suspect identified as Muhammadu Abubakar, who was also in possession of some exhibits.
He said “The operation culminated in the arrest of one of the suspects, identified as Muhammadu Abubakar (male), from whom an AK-47 rifle with breach number 6628/2274, six rounds of 7.62mm live ammunition, and three live cartridges were recovered. The suspect’s arrest represents a significant breakthrough in curbing violent crimes in the State”.
