It's getting real. Popular Nigerian dancer and socialite Poco Lee is set to appear before a London court next month over an alleged assault charge, and the court itself has now confirmed it.
So according to cbinews.tv, Snaresbrook Crown Court in London has confirmed that Iweh Pascal Odinaka, better known as Poco Lee, is officially listed to appear for plea and trial preparation on 15th September 2026.
The confirmation came straight from the court’s Admin Team Lead, James Baker, who replied to an email inquiry on Tuesday. In his words: “OFFICIAL. Good afternoon. I can confirm that this case is currently listed at Snaresbrook Crown Court for plea and trial preparation on the 15th September 2026. Criminal Court hearings are open to the public. Precise times and courtroom information will not be available until the day before the hearing.”
This is coming after reports that the entertainer is currently on remand in a UK prison. Benjamin Kuti, aka Oluomo of Derby and founder of a Nigerian community in the UK, had earlier claimed Poco Lee is in custody and is expected in court at 10 am on that date. Kuti, who says he regularly attends court sittings to support Nigerians facing legal issues in the UK, noted that the hearing is a plea hearing where the dancer will be expected to enter a guilty or not guilty plea.
For now, the court hasn’t disclosed the courtroom or the exact time, as is standard practice; those details usually drop a day before the hearing.
We will be keeping an eye on this one as it develops.
