The development comes weeks after Senator Lawal Adamu Usman also left the party over similar concerns.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has suffered another setback as its 2023 Kaduna governorship candidate, Hon. Isa Ashiru, and other key members dumped the party, citing internal crisis and divisions.
CBI News reports that among those who resigned are Senator Ibrahim Khalid Mustapha, alongside House of Representatives members Hon. Suleiman Richifa, Hon. Sabitu Ibrahim Kudan, and Hon. Al Hassan Mohammed.
In their resignation letters dated March 26 and 27, 2027, they cited persistent leadership crisis, rancor, and internal divisions as reasons for their exit.
Hon. Ashiru said the situation made it difficult to continue as a member, while Senator Mustapha pointed to ongoing internal disputes and court cases.
Others expressed appreciation to the party but cited frustration with the lingering crisis as their reason for leaving.
Though they have not announced a new platform, indications suggest possible alignment with the African Democratic Congress ahead of the 2027 elections.
