Good news for residents in the affected parts of Oyo State! The state government has officially lifted the security curfew imposed after the recent kidnapping incident in Oriire, allowing people to get back to their daily routines.
The Oyo State Government has announced the lifting of the security curfew earlier imposed on 10 local government areas following the kidnapping incident in Oriire.
As reported by cbinewstv, the government had initially introduced a 16-hour curfew to strengthen security efforts before extending it by an extra day on Thursday.
Now, with the restriction lifted, residents can once again go about their normal activities.
In a statement, the Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, thanked residents for their patience, cooperation and understanding throughout the period of the curfew.
He also assured the public that the government is keeping a close watch on the security situation and remains committed to ending the kidnapping threat while ensuring the safety of lives and property across the affected communities.
