Oyo sets record straight on power projects...
The Oyo State Government has dismissed claims by the Minister of Power, Bayo Adelabu, describing his comments on power projects in the state as inaccurate and misleading.
In a statement issued by the Commissioner for Energy and Mineral Resources, Prof. Dahud Shangodoyin, the government said it was necessary to set the record straight in the interest of the public.
The state government explained that the 11 megawatt Independent Power Project (IPP) was completed and partially operational, with about 5MW successfully commissioned. It added that the project supplied electricity to critical infrastructure at the Agodi Secretariat for about five months during its testing phase.
