NYSC announces 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II orientation to run from April 22 to May 12 nationwide.
The National Youth Service Corps has announced the schedule for the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II Orientation Course.
In a statement signed by its Director of Information and Public Relations, Caroline Embu, the scheme said the 21-day exercise will hold simultaneously across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
According to the timetable, prospective corps members will begin reporting to orientation camps on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, with registration continuing until midnight on Friday, April 24, 2026.
The scheme added that the swearing-in ceremony will take place on Friday, April 24, marking the formal induction of participants into national service.
The orientation programme is scheduled to end on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, after the completion of the mandatory three-week training.
NYSC noted that the exercise will include paramilitary drills, lectures, and skills acquisition programmes designed to prepare corps members for service.
While wishing participants safe travels, the scheme reiterated its warning against night journeys.
“Prospective Corps Members are advised to break their journeys once it’s 6.00 pm and pass the night at any available Corps Members’ Lodge, military formation, police station/outpost or palace of a traditional ruler anywhere in the country, then continue the following morning,” the statement read.
