England's Olivia Broome settled for bronze after lifting 119kg to score 106.6 points, while Kenya's Hellen Wawira Kariuki, England's Charlotte McGuinness, and India's Suman Devi finished fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.

Nworgu's gold came just hours after experienced para-powerlifter Roland Ezuruike opened Nigeria's medal haul with a silver medal in the men's lightweight event.
