Telecoms giant centralises operations in Cairo to strengthen service delivery amid rising demand from 5G and cloud expansion.
Nokia has designated Egypt as its regional support hub for the Middle East and Africa, establishing a centralised operational base in Cairo to enhance service delivery and customer support across the region.
CBI News reports that the comes as digital transformation accelerates, driven by the expansion of 5G networks, increased cloud adoption and surging data consumption. These trends are placing growing demands on service providers and enterprises to manage more complex network environments while maintaining efficiency and reliability.
By consolidating its support operations in Egypt, Nokia aims to deliver more coordinated, scalable and consistent services. The Cairo hub will provide shared services across time zones, improve responsiveness, and enable closer collaboration between customers and internal teams, ultimately enhancing service quality and user experience.
The facility will support all of Nokia’s core business divisions, including network infrastructure, mobile infrastructure, and global services operations. It is also expected to streamline internal processes, reduce operational complexity, and standardise best practices across markets.
According to Mikko Lavanti, the decision reflects confidence in Egypt’s strategic advantages, including its geographic position, expanding digital infrastructure and skilled workforce.
