Nigerian Army says Troops operations neutralise terrorists, rescue victims....
The Nigerian Army said it recorded operational successes across multiple theatres in the past 24 hours, including the neutralisation of terrorists, rescue of kidnap victims and arrest of criminal suspects.
Operational updates by the military revealed sustained gains nationwide.
In Plateau State, the army said troops under Operation Enduring Peace neutralised three suspected terrorists during an ambush in Wase Local Government Area and foiled an attack on civilians in Shendam, evacuating injured victims.
The update said in Borno State, troops of Operation Hadin Kai thwarted an attempted improvised explosive device attack along the Konduga–Kawuri road, neutralising two suspected terrorists and recovering weapons.
The report said troops also arrested a suspected terrorist kingpin in Toungo, Adamawa State, linked to kidnappings and attacks on security forces, alongside three logistics suppliers and a suspected kidnapper in Borno.
Under Operation Fansan Yamma, troops rescued 10 kidnapped victims in separate operations in Sokoto and Katsina states, while arresting five suspected cattle rustlers in Kebbi State and recovering livestock.
The update said in the South-East, troops recovered and safely detonated four improvised explosive devices in Abia State, and arrested suspected cultists and gunrunners in Cross River and Ebonyi states.
In the Niger Delta, troops intercepted vandalised materials and a vehicle transporting about 900 litres of illegally refined petroleum products in Rivers State.
Security agencies also intervened in a communal clash between Afo natives and Fulani herders in Nasarawa State to prevent escalation.
Military authorities said operations were ongoing across the country to sustain pressure on terrorist groups and other criminal elements.
