The Nigerian Army has announced the commencement of online registration for its 91st Regular Recruits Intake (91RRI) for tradesmen/women and non-tradesmen/women.
CBI News reports that the application portal will open on March 30, 2026, and close on May 17, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Be single Nigerian citizens by birth
- Possess valid NIN and BVN (with matching details)
- Be medically, physically, and mentally fit
- Have no criminal record
- Possess at least four credits, including English (maximum of two sittings)
- Trades applicants must have Trade Test or City & Guild certificates
Age limits:
- 18–22 years (non-trades)
- Not above 26 years (trades)
Minimum height:
- 1.68m (male)
- 1.65m (female)
Applicants must also provide a valid birth certificate and certificate of state of origin.
Application Process
Candidates are required to apply online through the official recruitment portal.
The steps include:
- Visit the Army recruitment portal and select the 91RRI option
- Carefully read the eligibility requirements
- Create an account using a valid email address
- Fill in personal, educational, and identification details
- Upload required documents
- Review and submit the application
- Print the acknowledgement slip, which is mandatory
Screening Exercise
Successful applicants will be invited for screening in their states of origin between June 9 and June 23, 2026.
Candidates are expected to present:
- Photo card
- Parent/guardian consent form
- Local government certification
- Police certification
- Guarantor’s form
The screening will include physical fitness tests, medical examinations, and document verification.
