Big win for rugby fans — CBI News just got the official nod from the NRFF to bring you all the scrums, tries and behind-the-scenes action.
CBI News is officially in the game. The Nigeria Rugby Football Federation has just named us an Official Media Partner, and we couldn’t be more chuffed. The NRFF made it official this week, recognising CBI News, the flagship station of CBI Digital Media, for our commitment to sports development, public engagement and telling the positive stories that matter across Nigeria and Africa.
So what does this actually mean? Basically, we’ve got all-access. CBI News now has media accreditation to cover NRFF-sanctioned events, competitions, press conferences, stakeholder meetings — you name it. If rugby’s happening, we’ll be there. Of course, we’ll still follow all the usual accreditation procedures, venue rules and NRFF media policies. Fair play.
What’s the game plan for the partnership? The NRFF says we’ll be working together on: Media coverage and promotion of NRFF activities and programmes Interviews, features, documentaries and special reports on rugby development in Nigeria Digital and broadcast content to grow rugby’s visibility Public awareness campaigns and stakeholder engagement Any other media projects we both agree on.
Now, before you ask — no, it’s not exclusive. The NRFF made it clear they can team up with other media houses, broadcasters and sponsors too. The more the merrier for Nigerian rugby. For our part, CBI News will keep things accurate, professional and in line with NRFF values. And any time we use NRFF logos, branding or official imagery, we’ll get the Federation’s approval first. Standard.Bottom line: expect more rugby on your screens and timelines. From grassroots tournaments to the big matches, CBI News is on the pitch.
