Military says the training will strengthen personnel effectiveness...
The Nigerian Armed Forces moved towards strengthening joint military operations with the inauguration of the Advanced Air-to-Ground Integration Course 4/26. The military said the training is designed to enhance coordination between air and ground forces in ongoing and future operations.
The inauguration ceremony, held at the Air Defence Group Headquarters in Makurdi was attended by top military officials and distinguished guests.
The military said the move underscored the growing importance of inter-service synergy in addressing complex security challenges.
The Special guest of honour, a former Commandant of the Air Warfare and Doctrine Centre, Air Vice Marshal Michael Ekwueme, described the course as a significant milestone in improving joint operational effectiveness within the Armed Forces of Nigeria.
The Commandant of the Air Warfare and Doctrine Centre, Abuja, AVM Garba Jibia, urged participants to remain disciplined and fully committed as they prepare for critical roles in joint military operations.
Military authorities say Nigeria’s evolving security landscape, particularly asymmetric warfare against non-state actors, has made effective coordination between air and ground units increasingly vital.
The Advanced Air-to-Ground Integration Course 4/26 is expected to further strengthen coordination between air and ground forces, enhancing the overall effectiveness of military operations in addressing Nigeria’s security challenges.
