Nigeria Joins 21 Nations at World Youth Scrabble Championships.

Team Nigeria has arrived in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, for the World Youth Scrabble Championships (WYSC).

The contingent, comprising four players led by team captain Abdulqudus Olawale Aliu, landed in the Malaysian capital on Friday at 5:22pm local time.

In the squad are Prestige Archibong, reigning African Youth Scrabble Under-19 champion; Sophia Ebube Ekeruche, the Under-15 title holder; and Joy Eberechukwu Nwabuzor.

The Nigerian team will compete in two categories of the global event, which features more than 140 players from 21 countries. Africa is represented by Nigeria, Kenya and South Africa.
