NABTEB Announces 2026 Registration Deadlines for In-School Certificate Exams, NCEE

Candidates and schools preparing for the 2026 NABTEB examinations have been urged to complete their registrations before the May deadlines to avoid last-minute issues.
CBINews reports that, the National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB) has fixed May 31 and May 24, 2026, as the deadlines for registration for the 2026 May/June In-School Certificate Examinations and the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE), respectively.
The announcement was made by the Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of NABTEB, Dr. Mohammed Aminu Mohammed, in a statement released on Wednesday through the board’s Assistant Director of Media and Protocol, Mr. Uchechukwu Olisah.
Dr. Mohammed disclosed that registration for both examinations is currently ongoing nationwide, adding that the process has been simplified through designated online portals to ensure a seamless and stress-free experience for schools and candidates.
For the May/June In-School Certificate Examinations, schools are expected to obtain registration slots through their respective NABTEB State Offices, capture candidates using the NABTEB Biometric Software, and complete registration via the official portal.
He further explained that schools are required to obtain login details from State Offices, log into the school portal, make payments, and complete registration online.
Similarly, candidates registering for the National Common Entrance Examination (NCEE) are expected to request Personal Identification Numbers (PINs) through State Offices before completing registration through the designated online portal. Candidates also have the option of independently creating accounts and completing the registration online.
The NABTEB boss advised schools, parents, guardians, and prospective candidates to take advantage of the registration window and complete all processes before the stipulated deadlines to avoid unnecessary challenges.
He also urged candidates and school authorities to strictly comply with registration guidelines and ensure accurate submission of candidates’ information.
Dr. Mohammed reaffirmed NABTEB’s commitment to leveraging technology to improve service delivery and examination administration across the country, while encouraging members of the public to visit the nearest State Office or official registration portals for further assistance.
