Wahala no dey finish! Popular relationship therapist Blessing CEO lands in fresh trouble as court grants her N20 million bail over alleged N69.15m property fraud.

According to cbinews.tv, drama unfolded at the Special Offences Court in Ikeja, Lagos, yesterday as social media personality, Blessing Okoro, better known as Blessing CEO, was granted bail to the tune of N20 million.

Justice Rahman Oshodi, who presided over the matter, said even though the prosecution did not oppose the bail application, the court still had to weigh the gravity of the offence and the punishment attached to it before taking a decision. He also considered the defence's explanation about her international passport.

Justice Oshodi ordered that Blessing CEO must provide two sureties in like sum, and each surety must show a three-year bank statement or proof of fixed deposit worth at least N20 million.

The court also said both the defendant and her sureties must be screened through the Lagos State Judiciary's Bail Information Management System, while the Nigerian Immigration Service has been notified to restrict her from travelling pending the outcome of the case.

The case has now been adjourned till October 12, 2026, for continuation of trial.

Blessing CEO is standing trial on a two-count charge of stealing and obtaining money by false pretences filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. She was arraigned on June 9, 2026, and pleaded not guilty.

The EFCC alleges that back in March 2025, she obtained N69.15 million from Hope Chiropractic Health Clinic Limited under the false pretence of securing a property lease in Lekki, Lagos.

The anti-graft agency says the offences contravene Section 285 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State and Section 1(3) of the Advance Fee Fraud and Other Related Offences Act, 2006.
