Ibadan monarch urges Ladoja to avoid political alliances..
The Balogun of Ibadanland, Oba Tajudeen Ajibola, has called on the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, to desist from giving support to political actors, saying doing so may not help the progress of Ibadanland.
Oba Ajibola, who is also a member of the Olubadan-in-Council, made the appeal at his Sanyo's Palace Ibadan.
He said that the Olubadan stool is a revered traditional institution and not a political office.
The monarch warned that associating with partisan interests could undermine its integrity and respect.
He also dismissed rumours suggesting any move by the Olubadan to impeach the state governor, as well as claims of a plot by the governor to dethrone the monarch, describing such reports as unfounded and misleading.
A former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose had alleged that the Seyi Makinde led administration is plotting a dethronement of the Olubadan.
