Mark in his Easter message assures Nigerians of ADC's strength....
The National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), David Mark, on Sunday called on Nigerians to embrace religious harmony, peace and national unity as Christians across the nation mark Easter.
In a message issued by his spokesperson, Paul Mumeh, Mark described Easter as a season symbolising sacrifice, hope, renewal and the triumph of light over darkness.
He urged citizens to reflect on the virtues of love, selflessness and forgiveness as exemplified by Jesus Christ.
The ADC chairman emphasised the need for Nigerians, regardless of religious, ethnic or political affiliations, to promote peaceful coexistence and mutual respect.
He said Nigeria’s diversity should serve as a source of strength rather than division.
Mark also appealed to citizens to remain calm and law-abiding, underscoring the importance of sustaining peace and stability nationwide.
Mark said the ADC remained strong, united and unshaken despite recent challenges.
According to him, the temporary setbacks have reinforced the party’s resolve and strengthened its commitment to democratic ideals and good governance.
“ADC remains focused and unwavering in its mission to enthrone democratic ethos, uphold the rule of law and provide purposeful leadership that addresses the needs and aspirations of Nigerians,” he said.
Mark expressed confidence in the party’s future and reaffirmed his commitment to leading it to victory in the 2027 general elections.
He also expressed optimism that the Easter celebration would inspire renewed faith and hope for a better Nigeria, while wishing Christians a peaceful and joyful celebration.
