The Ondo State Police Command has arrested one Johnson Daniel for allegedly stabbing an 18-year-old boy, Ariyo Amos Timilehin, to death in Owo, Owo Local Government Area of the state.
DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the command’s spokesperson in a statement in Akure said preliminary investigation showed that the victim was allegedly stabbed during an argument with Daniel (suspect)
“The command has confirmed the arrest of a suspect in connection with the alleged murder of Ariyo Amos Timilehin following a violent altercation in Owo on March 6, 2026", the statement said
“Timilehin was rushed to the Federal Medical Centre (FMC), Owo, where he was confirmed dead on arrival by a medical doctor.
“Police detectives visited the scene and recovered the knife suspected to have been used in the attack, while the suspect has been arrested.
“The case has, since been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for further investigation,” Jimoh added.
The spokesperson revealed that the command has commiserated with the family of the deceased.
He urged the public to avoid violence in resolving disputes.
