A surprise move in Oyo State politics as Governor Seyi Makinde makes a quiet but notable change in his cabinet lineup.
So here’s the latest from Oyo State, Governor Seyi Makinde has carried out a minor cabinet reshuffle that has seen the Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, Mrs Toyin Balogun, relieved of her duties.
According to a statement released on Wednesday by the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the decision takes immediate effect.
In her place, Alhaja Faosat Joke Sanni has been redeployed back to the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Inclusion, a role she is already very familiar with. She previously served in the same ministry between 2019 and 2023 before moving on to the Ministry of Special Duties, and later to Trade, Industry, Investment and Cooperative.
Governor Makinde, meanwhile, expressed appreciation to Mrs Balogun for her service and contributions to the development of Oyo State, wishing her well in her future endeavours.
With this latest adjustment, Sanni is stepping straight back into familiar territory as she resumes leadership of the ministry she once headed.
