The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Olatunji Rilwan Disu, has approved the posting of senior officers across various strategic formations and commands of the Nigeria Police Force.
According to a statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Anthony Okon Placid, the redeployment affects Assistant Inspectors-General (AIGs), Commissioners of Police (CPs), and Deputy Commissioners or Police (DCPs) across departments, zonal commands, and specialised units.
CBI News reports that among the AIG postings, AIG Ado Emmanuel has been assigned to Research and Planning at Force Headquarters, Abuja, while AIG Joseph Eribo moves to the Department of Armament.
AIG Miller G. Dantawaye was posted to Operations, AIG Henry Ifeanyi Uche to Training and Development, and AIG Olanrewaju Peter Ogunlowo to Police Accounts and Budget.
Other key postings include AIG Dahiru Mohammed to Zone 15, Maiduguri; AIG Bello Shehu to Zone 14, Katsina; AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh to Zone 2, Lagos; and AIG Haruna Olufemi to the Special Protection Unit at Force Headquarters.
For Commissioners of Police, CP Haruna Alaba Yahaya has been posted to Jigawa State Command, CP Olugbenga Ayodeji Abimbola to Oyo State Command, and CP Yemi John Oyeniyi to Delta State Command.
Others include CP Olubode Ojajuni to Ogun State, CP Michael Adegoroye Falade to Ekiti, CP Yakubu Useni Dankaro to Adamawa, and CP Olatunji Olaiwola Fatai to Lagos State Command.
Additional postings cover specialised departments such as INTERPOL, FCID, SWAT, K9, Community Policing, and training institutions including the Police Academy (POLAC) and Police College Ikeja.
The statement noted that the exercise is aimed at enhancing professionalism, discipline, and service delivery within the Force.
The Inspector-General urged the affected officers to bring their experience to bear in their new roles and to remain committed to the highest standards of policing in Nigeria.
