Veteran pop star Madonna is appealing for the return of costumes she wore during her recent Coachella performance with Sabrina Carpenter after the items went missing.
The 67-year-old “Like A Virgin” singer said on Instagram that several vintage pieces from her personal archive disappeared following the show.
“I discovered that the vintage pieces that I wore went missing — my costume that was pulled from my personal archives — jacket, corset, dress and other garments,” she wrote.
“These aren’t just clothes, they are part of my history,” she added, noting that other items from the same era had also gone.
The appeal comes after her widely shared appearance alongside Carpenter during the weekend headline set at the Coachella in the California desert.
The pair performed Madonna’s 1990 hit “Vogue” and 1989’s “Like A Prayer,” songs that topped charts globally years before Carpenter was born.
Madonna said she was hopeful the missing items would be returned.
“I’m hoping and praying that some kind soul will find these items and reach out,” she said, adding that she is offering a reward for their safe return.
