US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and Chair of the Joint Chiefs Dan Caine brief the media on the latest on the war in Iran, from the Pentagon on Tuesday, March 31.
This week, Donald Trump warned that he could seize Kharg Island 'very easily', suggested 'serious discussions' were happening - but also said that if he didn't get a deal, he could obliterate' Iran's power plants, oil wells, Kharg Island itself and even desalinisation plants.
Iran has denied negotiations are happening and called Trump's peace plan demands 'excessive and irrational'.
