The United Nations Security Council holds its quarterly open debate in New York on Tuesday, July 28, to discuss the situation in the Middle East, focusing on Palestine and Gaza.
Council members are discussing humanitarian and political issues in Gaza, nine months after the Security Council adopted resolution 2803 endorsing the US-brokered Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict and establishing the international Board of Peace (BoP), chaired by US President Donald Trump.
