CBI News takes you Live to China where Russian President Vladimir Putin arrives in Beijing on Tuesday, May 19, for a two-day state visit.
The visit coincides with the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Good-Neighbourliness, Friendship and Co-operation, a key moment in Russia-China relations.
During the visit, Putin and Xi are expected to discuss bilateral ties, economic co-operation, their strategic partnership, and major international and regional issues.
They are also due to attend a ceremony marking the launch of the Russia-China Years of Education for 2026-2027.
Putin is also scheduled to meet Chinese Premier Li Qiang for talks focused on trade and economics.
The visit comes days after US President Donald Trump visited Beijing for talks with Xi.
