CBI News takes you Live to Angola where Pope Leo XIV addresses bishops, priests, consecrated men and women, and pastoral workers at the Parish of Our Lady of Fatima in Luanda on Monday, April 20, on the third and final day of his visit to Angola.
The stop is part of the pontiff's 11-day tour of Africa focused on promoting peace and reconciliation and strengthening the Catholic Church across the region.
Earlier in the day, he visited the northeastern town of Saurimo, greeted residents at a nursing home and celebrated Mass at the Saurimo esplanade.
The tour began on Monday with visits to Algeria and Cameroon, marking the first papal trip to the predominantly Sunni Muslim country. After Angola, the pontiff is due to travel to Equatorial Guinea.
