Good news from the Holy Land. Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved a special welfare package of 350 Saudi Riyals ( N127,876.35 ) for every single Kebbi pilgrim performing this year's Hajj — that is more than 4,000 people, according to a report by cbinewstv.

The state's Amirul Hajj, Ahmad Jega, announced it while briefing journalists in Makkah on Friday. He said it is not just about the money, it is about comfort.

He praised the pilgrims' behaviour too, describing the Kebbi contingent, one of Nigeria's largest, as disciplined, peaceful and well organised since arrival.
