Voters blame low turnout on lack of interest of citizens...
The Kano state by-elections for the Ungogo and Kano Municipal Council
state constituencies is already underway with significant low turnout of voters.
Checks in some polling shows officials of the independent National Electoral Commission in a relaxed mood with visible voters on ground.
At Tundun Wazirchi polling unit with an estimated 600 registered voters, only two persons have so far come to cast their votes.
The low turnout is largely blamed on the Ramadan season, poor publicity from relevant authorities.
While others blamed the low turnout on the lost of interest in the electoral umpire by the people claiming the elections is one-sided.
