Health ministry reports women, children and paramedics among the dead as the number of wounded surpasses 2,000.
Lebanon’s health ministry said on Saturday that Israeli strikes have killed 826 people since the start of the war with Hezbollah. The ministry said the victims include 65 women and 106 children, while 2,009 others have been wounded.
In a statement, the ministry added that 31 paramedics were among those killed. The latest figures raised an earlier toll after authorities said additional bodies of health workers were recovered following an overnight strike.
Officials said the strike hit a healthcare centre in southern Lebanon, where rescue teams later found the bodies of emergency personnel. The ministry said the discovery contributed to the updated casualty figures.
