Fancy a fully funded Master’s in Ireland next year? Your chance is here – and applications open this Sunday!
Heads up, Nigeria and Ghana! The Embassy of Ireland in Nigeria just dropped some big news – applications for the 2026 Ireland Fellows Programme kick off on Sunday, 29 June 2026.
So, what’s the deal? It’s a fully funded scholarship that lets early and mid-career professionals head to Ireland for a one-year Master’s at some of its top universities.
The Embassy shared the update on its official X account on Thursday, 25 June 2026, and they’re encouraging Nigerians and Ghanaians to jump on it. If you’re into Law, human rights or Governance, there’s even a special option for Nigerians – the Roger Casement Fellowship in Human Rights.
Key dates to note:
- Applications open: 29 June 2026
- Applications close: 26 July 2026
Don’t wait till the last minute – you’ll need to apply through the official Ireland Fellows Programme portal. That’s where you’ll find the full gist on who can apply, which courses are available, and how the whole process works. Here’s the link they shared: https://irelandfellows.africa/
What’s covered if you get in? Pretty much everything. We’re talking tuition fees, monthly living costs, accommodation allowance, visa fees, flights, and health insurance for the entire programme.
Bottom line: if you’ve been dreaming of postgraduate study abroad without the financial stress, this could be it. Check the eligibility details and get your application in before 26 July.
