Local authorities say residential area in Zibashahr was hit, leaving dozens injured.
An Iranian official said on Friday that at least 20 people were killed in strikes carried out by the United States and Israel in the southern city of Shiraz.
The casualty figures could not be independently verified.
Jalil Hasani, deputy governor of Fars province, said 20 civilians were killed and at least 30 others were wounded in the attack, according to Iran’s official IRNA news agency.
“Twenty innocent citizens have been martyred and 30 others have been injured in this terrorist attack,” Hasani said.
He said the strikes targeted a residential area in the town of Zibashahr, located in Shiraz, the capital of Fars province in southern Iran.
Further details about the scale of the damage or the identities of those killed were not immediately available.
