Iran launches fresh wave of missiles at Israel...
Iran launched another wave of missiles toward Israel early Tuesday, escalating tensions between the two nations.
CBI News reports that the strikes followed earlier attacks that reportedly hit a building in northern Israel, while a loud explosion was also heard in Jerusalem.
Iran’s state broadcaster, Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, announced the latest development via its Telegram channel.
“Iran fires new wave of missiles at occupied territories,” the broadcaster said, later claiming that some of the missiles penetrated Israeli defence systems.
“Iranian missiles pass(ed) through several Israeli missile defences,” it added.
Emergency responders in Israel confirmed that a building was damaged during the attack.
The country’s emergency service, Magen David Adom, released footage showing the affected structure in northern Israel.
Officials said no fatalities were recorded, while the Israeli military confirmed detecting incoming missiles and activating its defence systems in response.
The escalation comes hours after Israel reportedly carried out fresh strikes on Iran, with explosions reported in Tehran, according to Iranian media.
Amid the growing regional tension, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates said they intercepted missiles and drones.
The International Energy Agency warned that the conflict is already impacting critical infrastructure, revealing that at least 40 major energy facilities across the region have been severely damaged.
IEA Executive Director, Fatih Birol, cautioned about the global implications of the crisis.
“No country will be immune to the effects of this crisis if it continues to go in this direction. So there is a need for global efforts,” he said.
