The Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu, has directed all police formations and departments across Nigeria to submit a comprehensive nominal roll and bank account details of officers under their command.
The directive, contained in a police signal dated March 30, 2026, was issued from the IGP Secretariat in Abuja and marked “M/IMMEDIATE,” indicating its urgency.
It was addressed to Assistant Inspectors-General of Police, state commissioners of police and heads of specialised units nationwide.
According to the signal, all formations are required to provide a detailed nominal roll of serving personnel, including inspectors and rank-and-file officers, alongside their respective bank account details.
The IGP instructed that submissions be made in both hard and soft copies, with the electronic version provided in an editable Microsoft Excel format via official police email channels.
A deadline of April 9, 2026, was set for compliance, with the directive stressing that the request is of “utmost urgency” and must be treated as a priority without further reminders.
The signal, referenced CB: 4001/IGP.SEC/ABJ/VOL.124/4, was circulated to various formations including police colleges, training institutions and tactical units, as well as specialised departments such as Border Patrol, Maritime Police, Counter-Terrorism units, Interpol, the Police Airwing and Mobile Police formations.
